Housing: A full-hookup campsite is provided

The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, has four (4) Camp Host
positions available at Bear Lake State Park near Laketown, Utah. It is anticipated that each
position will work up to 25 hours per week. Benefits are not provided.

Compensation: A full-hookup campsite in a beautiful location

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Greet park quests/visitors and provide appropriate park and camping information.
  • Clean campsites, including tables, fire rings, concrete pads, and litter pick up.
  • Check and restock restroom buildings on a daily basis. Spot clean restrooms as needed.
  • May perform simple/basic maintenance tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid drivers license and no criminal history.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor setting, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently in a recreation and tourism environment.
  • Possess quality customer service skills.
  • Wear the provided uniform items
  • Must be able to work with and coordinate with other Camp Hosts and various park staff.

PREFERENCES:

  • Previous camp hosting experience with other Utah State Parks or with other State Park
    agencies.
  • Facility and grounds maintenance experience.
  • Interpretive education experience.
  • Excellent customer service experience.
