The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, has seasonal positions (no benefits) available at Jordanelle State Park in Heber, Utah.
Examples of Duties:
Gate Attendants:
Duties include greeting park guests upon entry, providing accurate information, handling money, making camping reservations, and providing excellent customer service. Indoor and outdoor work. Shift hours between 7AM and 9PM
Aquatic Invasive Species Technicians:
Duties include contacting boaters at the launch ramps for the prevention of Aquatic Invasive Species, performing professional decontaminations, customer service, complete survey information, enter all required boater contact information, and maintenance work during down time. Outdoor work. Shifts between 7AM and 7PM.
Maintenance:
MUST be 18. Duties include daily cleaning of park restrooms and facilities, groundskeeping, and park projects. Indoor and outdoor work. Shift hours between 6AM – 2PM or 4PM.
Office Assistant:
Duties include answering phones, greeting park guests, providing accurate information about the park and event center, handling money, keeping the office/event center tidy, and helping with projects assigned by FT Staff. Shift Hours between 9AM and 5PM
Job Requirements and Skills:
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid Utah Driver’s license at the time of employment. Applicants should have the ability to work independently in a tourism environment. Preference may be given to applicants with cash handling, customer service experience, and education in a natural resource-related field.
Other
Applicants must be willing to work in an outdoor setting and work weekends and holidays. Applicants must successfully pass a criminal history background check upon hire.
