Location: Outdoor Recreation Maintenance Shop (Salt Lake City)
Hours Per Week: 20-30 hours a week.
Time frame:  September-February; Possibility of staying on after February.

The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Outdoor Recreation, has a part-time position (no benefits) available at the Outdoor Recreation Maintenance Shop in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Housing is not provided.

Examples of Duties

Employees will perform a variety of duties including: general upkeep and maintenance, cleaning, organizing, picking up parts and supplies, and answering calls.

Job Requirements and Skills

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Utah Driver’s license at the time of employment. Applicant should have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team; be able to follow both oral and written instructions; be willing to perform general upkeep and maintenance, use basic hand tools, operate small equipment such as leaf blowers and pressure washers, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preference: Applicants with interest in maintenance, and those with experience in Construction, Maintenance, Janitorial/custodial/landscaping, and customer service industries.

Other

Applicants must be willing to work in an outdoor setting. Applicants must successfully pass a criminal history background check upon hire.

Work requires physical exertion; may require standing, walking over rough surfaces; bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting objects up to 50lbs. in a recurring manner or for a long period of time.
