Park Ranger Aide – (Echo State Park)

The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, has seasonal positions (no benefits) available at Echo State Park in Coalville, Utah. This appointment will last approximately 4-5 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Examples of Duties
Gate Attendants:
Duties include greeting park guests upon entry, selling annual passes, providing information, handling money, making camping reservations, and providing excellent customer service. Indoor and outdoor work.
Aquatic Invasive Species Technicians:
Duties include contacting boaters at the launch ramps and decontaminating boats with hot water for the prevention of Aquatic Invasive Species and outdoor work.
Maintenance:
Duties include daily cleaning of park restrooms and facilities, groundskeeping, and park projects. Indoor and outdoor work.
Concession Attendant:
Duties include answering phones, greeting customers, handling money, renting out motorized and non-motorized watercraft, selling products and goods at concessions, and inventorying products at concessions.
Job Requirements and Skills
Applicant must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid Utah Drivers license at the time of employment. Applicant should have the ability to work independently in a tourism environment.
Preference may be given to applicants with cash handling, customer service experience, and education in a natural resource-related field.
Other
Applicants must be willing to work in an outdoor setting and work weekends and holidays. Applicants must successfully pass a criminal history background check upon hire.
