Wildlife Technician I

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, in cooperation with U.S. Forest Service is doing research on native forbs in the Great Basin. Some travel throughout the state to collect data from other study plots may be required. Some travel throughout Utah and Nevada for seed collection may also be required. As a state agency, we work 4 days a week for 10 hours a day, Monday through Thursday. However, there may be times when there will be work that needs to be done on a Friday or Saturday.
The majority of the work will consist of maintaining study plots located in Ephraim, Fountain Green, and Nephi as well as collecting data from these plots.
Job Requirements and Skills
Ability to work under extreme conditions and/or inclement weather. Work responsibilities require moderate physical labor. Ability to pay close attention to details and listen to instructions, tolerance of repetitive work, and ability to work as a team member.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience operating farm equipment and 4×4 vehicles.
