The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation, has a part-time position (no benefits) available at Antelope Island State Park in Syracuse, Utah.  Housing is not provided.

Examples of Duties

Assist with the Building & grounds maintenance operations on Antelope Island State Park. Employees will perform a variety of janitorial duties: general upkeep and maintenance of the park facilities and grounds. Maintenance as needed, Primary duties: cleaning restrooms, visitor center, the historic ranch, campgrounds and picnic areas, landscaping, providing the visiting public with correct information and assisting visitors and other projects as assigned.

Job Requirements and Skills

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Utah Driver’s license at the time of employment. Applicant should have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team; be able to follow both oral and written instructions; be Willing to perform janitorial, general building maintenance and groundskeeping, use hand tools such as shovels, rakes and power tools such as weed eater and leaf blowers, operate small equipment such as mowers and tractors, etc.

Preference: Applicants with education in a natural resource-related field and those with experience in Construction, Maintenance, Janitorial/ custodial/ landscaping, and customer service industries.

Other
Applicants must be willing to work in an outdoor setting, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must successfully pass a criminal history background check upon hire.

Work requires physical exertion; may require standing, walking over rough surfaces; bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting objects up to 50lbs. in a recurring manner or for a long period of time.
