The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, has seasonal PARK RANGER AIDE positions available at Bear Lake State Park near Garden City and Laketown, Utah. These positions can be
part-time or will work up to 40 hours per week. Benefits are not provided. Housing options may be available.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Assist in the daily operations of Bear Lake State Park:
- provide excellent customer service;
- greet park visitors;
- staff entrance stations;
- collect park fees;
- perform maintenance of park buildings and grounds;
- check-in and assist incoming campers;
- perform aquatic invasive species education and interdiction;
- clean park restrooms and facilities;
- provide interpretive information; and,
- perform other tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
- Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid Utah Drivers license at the time of employment.
- Applicants must be able to work in an outdoor setting, and work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Applicants must be able to competently operate a computer with Internet-based programs.
- Applicants shall have the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a recreation and tourism environment.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in:
- cash handling, accounting and reporting;
- customer service;
- education in a natural resource-related field;
- operation of various maintenance and groundskeeping equipment; and,
- aquatic invasive species education and interdiction.
